Experience fresh country air, beautiful countryside and explore working farms in Orange County!What You Can Do In a Day On The Farm:
- Visit six local farms
- Hands-on demonstrations
- Fun activities for all ages
- Follow your own schedule in your own car
- See how cows are milked and how to get a calf ready for the County Fair.
- Take a hay ride and watch horses go through their special routines.
- Learn which flowers and shrubs will grow best in your garden and the best way to plant a planter.
- Drive through an apple orchard and learn which of the dozens of varieties growing in the Warwick Valley will make the best pie.
- Look into a 10-foot-deep trench to learn how this rich soil has been built up over thousands of years.
- Learn how to cook like a gourmet and enjoy local fruits and veggies with a master chef.
There will be discount coupons, and lots of information about how farms preserve and protect the land and how they contribute to the growing local economy.
You can also purchase tickets on the day of the event at:
Tickets: $25 for adults, $10 for ages 6-14 (under 6 is free).
Discount of $5 per ticket for groups of 10 or more.
